Hi friends! I'm really excited to tell you all that I have a new blog! Click here to check it out! I can't believe it's been three years now since I've had this one up and running. It all got started simply because I wanted a better way to share my pictures with my sisters other than email. My husband got me an awesome camera for my birthday and I was having so much fun with it. So instead of emailing my photos I decided to post them on this blog. One thing led to another and here I am now three years having an incredible time photographing new clients and friends! It's been a fun adventure so far and I'm really looking forward to the future. The Welborn Family

I love it when clients come back to me! It’s like meeting up again with old friends. It’s always wonderful to see how their children have grown and learn about all the neat things they have going on. This session was just like that. I first met Carrie, Eric, and Addison last summer when Addi was a newborn. And now here she is as a cute, cute, cute 16 month old! I think we got some great images from their session. Thank you Carrie & Eric! It was fun to see you again!

The Peters Family

Saturday I headed out to Southlake to spend my morning hanging out with the Peters family. Berklee is a brilliant 10 year old, Kameron is an adorable 5 year old, and Laurel & Kevin are awesome parents! I was so glad to meet them! I fell in love with their sense of style and all their great photography ideas. We had a fun time!

I love that these two are so in love! Beautiful couple, beautiful family.

9 weeks old

Remember these cuties? They made their first appearance on my blog when they were just 15 days old. We did their 2nd photoshoot last weekend when they were nine weeks old. Let me just say that they are sooooo chubby and sooooo cuddly! (I LOVE a chubby baby!) It's incredible to me to think about all the changes that occur in such a short amount of time with babies. Thank you Lora Lee and Joey! Your little family is so very sweet.

Victoria

I had such a fun time Saturday night hanging out with this spunky young lady. It was a neat change of pace for me since most of my sessions are usually with babies and little kiddos. I found out that Victoria's Mama has each of her children's pictures made every year on their birthday. There are six children in her family so that's alot of pictures! But how wonderful! What a fantastic gift that Victoria will have when she is older. Great idea!

Thank you Sherrill! It was so good to see you again -- can't believe it's been almost 12 years. Last time we saw eachother Victoria was a baby. You have a beautiful daughter. She reminds me a lot of you. :0)

The Duffy Family

Every time I visit this family I fall more and more in love. Baby Brendan made his debut about a month ago and I got to meet him at five days old to do his very, very, very newborn session. So on this visit to their house we did a session with everyone – Lauren, Daniel, and big brother James. I hope you can tell in the pictures how in love they all are with each other. I am in love with them too. :0)

This next series is just so darn cute to me. Big brother James (20 months old) did not want to be in these pictures -- he was having too much playing! So we were trying everything we could think of to get him to climb up on the couch. And of course I think the process of doing that made for some great shots!

Jackson - 2 years

This little man belongs to my good friend Lindsey. I just adore her son Jackson and couldn't have been more happy to do a session with him at two years old. This session was full of lots of Jackson's favorite things -- bikes, trains, balloons, and candy. How fun is that! Baby Brendan - 5 days old

I know, I know, I say it all the time but I seriously am in love with this baby! He's got to be the cuddliest baby ever. He spent the majority of our session snuggling up to his mama. He was so peaceful and so darn sweet. Thank you Lauren! As always I love our sessions. You are such a good friend to me and an amazing mother to your two precious boys!

Faith, Grace, & Gabriel - Part 2!!!

A few more shots of these sweet children but this time underwater! After we finished our normal session we hopped in the pool for some shots. It was an experiment for me and these kids (and awesome parents!) were up to the challenge. A good friend of mine loaned me his underwater camera and this was the very first time to try it out. It was like the old days when I use to shoot with film – couldn’t see my results immediately and hoped that I got good shots. I think we got a few!

Interested in a free photoshoot? I just got some awesome new photography equipment and I want to test it out! I'm giving away a free childrens or baby photoshoot for next week -- next Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. If it's a children's session then I want to do something fun. Something that your kiddos love to do -- maybe sidewalk chalk, eating ice cream, playing dress up, jumping on the trampoline, running in the sprinklers, things like that. There are tons of ideas out there so let me know if you have a fun one. My one condition is that it has to be in Fort Worth. I got to hang out with this sweet baby boy yesterday afternoon. This is his second appearance on my blog -- the first time he was in his Mama's belly! Be sure to check out that session here. Some of my all time favorite maternity shots! So now here we are almost a year later and Aileen has this precious little angel. I love this first shot of him at this little table (built by his Dad!)

I can't decide which of these two shots I like best so I'll post them both. Very similar shots but he's being super cute and sticking his lip out just a tiny bit in the second one.

It’s been a year since I first photographed this sweet baby boy. It was luck that led me to him since his Mama was a friend of a friend who was up for my challenge of one big photoshoot with lots of babies. (Yes, I might be a little crazy. Five babies at once. Cecilia was so very sleepy which I think makes for fantastic pictures! You get to do fun shots like these. What an incredible little baby girl! Parents often ask me when is the best time for newborn sessions. My recommendation is early, early, early. Sometime during that first week or two when babies are still so tiny and so sleepy. Just like Miss Cecilia is here. Of course this is not a set in stone rule but just a recommendation for newborn pics.

Stacy & Gabe have one of those homes that you just immediately feel the love and warmth the second you walk inside. As soon as I saw their new baby I could easily understand why. Welcome 2009!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and were able to spend time with the ones you love. We've had such a fun past few weeks with our little guy. He is so incredibly sweet and loveable. I say it again and again but I wish I could freeze time and keep him this little forever.

Thank you all for a wonderful year in 2008! Who knew that this little photography hobby of mine would have grown into something so big! I started this blog about two and a half years ago simply to just share my pictures with my sisters. My wonderful hubby gave me a really nice camera for my birthday and I was taking so many pictures that I thought it would be easier to just blog them. One thing led to another and now I'm photographing people all the time. It's been an exciting adventure and I look forward to a fun 2009! My dear friend Lisa moved to New Mexico this past summer and then her sweet baby Avery was born in August. This past weekend they made the trip back to Texas to visit family and friends and me! Holiday Print Orders Deadline - December 1st

Just wanted to send out a reminder that if you would like prints or holiday cards then I'll need to know by December 1st. This will allow us plenty of time to get the orders printed and delivered in time for Santa. Speaking of the holidays....a few shots of this sweet pea from our session earlier this week. Happy Halloween!

The plan was never to have the witch hat in the picture. I was wearing it when we went outside and tossed it off right before I started shooting. Ezra grabbed it right up and the giggles started flowing immediately. Sometimes the best shots are the ones you never intended. These just make me smile so big. :0) Hope you all had a fun Halloween.

Theresa + Baby Coming Soon!

After our family session I spent a little time taking some maternity shots of Theresa. Their session was mostly for family photos but you know me...if I get a pregnant Momma I'm going to have to experiment with belly shots! I get asked all the time what my favorites subjects to shoot and my answer is definitely bellies and babies. I can't get enough of them!

The next few shots we took in one of the bedrooms in their home. Theresa must think I'm crazy because I've been talking about this bedroom now for the past three months. They have recently done quite a bit of renovations to their home and this room just seems so sweet to me. A great spot for photos. That's how my mind works these days. Anyway, Theresa and I were shooting these shots by ourselves when Luke decided to pop in and join us. I'm so glad he did. I love this next one.

The Berend Family

This family is one of my favorites! We've been friends with Theresa & Chuck for many years now and they always have so much fun stuff going on. A new baby will be joining their family in just a couple months so I was thrilled to photograph them before he makes his debut!

Silly billy...

They were headed to Boo-At-The-Zoo after our photo shoot so I stayed for a few extra minutes to snap some Halloween shots. Couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph this beautiful Princess and Transformer!

I'm so glad I did because I got my favorite shot of Evie from the entire session...

Happy 1st Birthday Griffin!

This little guy was full of smiles for me yesterday on his 1st birthday. What a special day! I'm so glad I got to capture him and his parents Leslie & Carter on one year to the date that their incredible baby boy came into this world. I've done several sessions with Griffin so it's been so fun for me to see all the neat changes that he's had this past year! Be sure to peek at Griffin's newborn and six months sessions. Isn't a child's first year of life amazing!

My very first session with twins!!! I couldn't have asked for a cuter pair! Twice the cuteness, twice the fun, and twice the pictures! I am so in love with these children!!! Never before have I posted so many shots but my thought is this -- if you have cute kids and cute pictures you must show them off!
