Got another fun package that I'm offering this year: Maternity + Newborn. I'm still amazed every time I see a pregnant belly. The excitement and anticipation of what's to come. Such a special and unique moment in a woman's life. So why not document it with beautiful photographs. And then of course when your precious angel is born you will want to capture some of those moments in the first few weeks when they are oh so tiny and brand new. This package also includes 25 Birth Announcements with custom design.

I’m so very excited to announce that I now offer custom designed photo cards to my clients!!!

I've partnered up with the super creative Deena at MediaDia to create one-of-a-kind cards for my clients. We can do birth announcements, party invitations, holiday cards, and just about anything you can think to create a card for. I’ll take the photos, Deena will design the cards, and clients get one-of-a-kind cards to share with family and friends. What a fun way to show off your family!

Here’s a peek at our very first creation together. Remember that Sweet Baby James from last week? This is his birth announcement. Can’t you just imagine all the smiles from family and friends when they open their mail and see this sweet baby smiling at them!

Sweet Baby James

Okay, so I had to say it. You know I love the name James! And I think every parent of a child named James probably sings that James Taylor song. I know we do to ours. :0) This sweet Baby James just melted my heart! What is it about newborns! The sounds, the smiles, the little ways they move. This little guy was only two weeks old when I met him last weekend. I'm sure he's already bigger by now so I'm so happy that I was able to capture this amazing moment in this family's life.

Such beautiful weather here today in Fort Worth! Hope you got to spend time outside today with someone you love. :0)

I've been spending quite a bit of time these days with babies. They are of course my favorite out of anyone to photograph. And this sweet angel has got to be the sweetest, most calm baby I have photographed yet. She was ever so patient, just watching me as I snapped away. P.S.- Don't you just love the mural! So neat and unique!

One more...I couldn't resist. This one might be my favorite from the entire session. A shot of this sweet pea enjoying her treat for being so good during the photo shoot.

What a great photo shoot... a photographer's dream! This wonderful family was everything I could have asked for; beautiful children, loving parents, charming home. I was so fortunate to be able to spend time with them together and separately, following them throughout their house and snapping pics of them in their happy, natural environment.

Miss Sarah wanted a portait of her entire family including children and grandchildren so we headed out to the Botanical Gardens this weekend and braved the cold weather. Her little grandchildren were such troopers! I took them all over the grounds looking for good spots for a group shot. All the hiking around was worth it though as I think we got some great pictures! We also took several shots of each of their individual families. I always make that suggestion when I have a large family. Big group photo and individual shots. Why not! And of course anyone who knows me knows that I love to photograph children so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph this group of four little cousins.

We mailed our Christmas cards earlier this week so I thought I would post it on my blog. I took these shots of Ezra last month when he was about 13 weeks old. He's so darn cute these days! And he's gotten so chubby which I absolutely love! My original plan when I shot these was to get one great picture for the front of the card and include our holiday message on the inside. Well, you can imagine my dilemna when I uploaded the pictures. So hard to pick just one! Instead I came up with this combination of nine photos. It's probably way more pictures than you will ever see on any holiday card but hey I couldn't resist!

It took about ten different versions for me to come up with my final card. (Can you imagine anyone being so picky?!?!) I tried a bunch of different shots in all the versions. The one above was my final choice and the one we printed. The version below was my second favorite. It didn't make the final cut but it still makes me smile.

Have I mentioned how much I love to photograph babies?!?! Especially when I get ones like this little guy. He now tops my list of sweet babies that I've photographed. So many wondeful expressions and he was oh so ticklish! It's so fun for me when we can get babies laughing during a session. The first shot of him giggling might be one of my all time favorites now!

New Year - New Products - New Prices

It’s hard to believe 2008 is only two weeks away! I’ve got some new products that I’m really excited to offer clients this coming year -- birth announcements, holiday cards, albums, and a new “Year in the Life” package. More info to come soon on these exciting new things!

I met up with Zach and Melanie and their babies Bella & Boo this weekend out at TCU. We took some traditional shots for their holiday cards as well as some fun ones just for the heck of it. I love it when clients let me try new things! Thanks guys! Aren't their dogs the coolest?!?!
