Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind?

These Cowgirls were a hoot! I can only imagine how much fun they have together. I found out these girls are friends who met several years ago in a Riding Club. Let’s see…riding club, cowboy boots, chaps, lassos…the Stockyards were a perfect location for a photo shoot! And the best part about our session? I felt like I was with these super famous celebrities the entire time! It seemed like every few steps we would take someone new would come up and ask them to pose for pictures. They were super nice and just posed right along with kids, parents, grandparents who came down to see one of Fort Worth’s most famous attractions. Thank you ladies! I look forward to our next photo session out on the ranch!

I didn't know this girl but she was super nice chatting with us as we were waiting for the cattle to go by on their daily cattle drive. I really liked her horse!

One of the greatest things about this photography gig of mine is that I get to be around all these precious newborn babies. Every time I fall in love! This little charmer was completely cooperative and precious the entire time. His parents are in for such fun! They are so lucky to have gotten such a sweet baby boy!

Lyla

Baby Lyla was soooooooooooooo sleepy! Who could blame her though....it's hard work being so cute at only three weeks old! I actually love it when babies are asleep on photo shoots. There's lots of neat shots you can take when they are dreaming away.

I did maternity shots with Lyla's beautiful Mother before little Lyla was born. Similar shot below but this time she's got an amazing little baby girl in her arms.

Even with sleeping babies it seems like I always get a few with their eyes open. Doesn't she look so happy! Like she wants to say hello to all the wonderful people who have waited nine months for her arrival.

Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby, Baby!!!

If you’ve been following along on my blog you might remember that I made the offer a few weeks ago to do some group baby sessions. Well, last week I had my first group session and I was in heaven! Five cutie patooties all at once. The main goal was just to have fun. That’s what this whole photography thing is about for me anyway -- fun! I love taking pictures and I love being able to give parents neat photographs that capture a moment of their lives. Another goal was to see if I could even do it. Five babies all at once? Am I crazy? No – I just think babies are so adorable so I just wanted to experiment. I lucked out with a super fantastic group of Mom’s who were ever so patient and flexible and fun to be around! Thank you to all of them for letting me borrow your angels for the afternoon.

James is 11 weeks old!

I spent some time with James this past weekend and it was such a treat for me! Last time we had a photo shoot he was only two weeks old. So many neat changes in such a short time since then. There were lots of grins and giggles and simple, sweet expressions that will make you smile. :0)
