Christy & Robert

I'm so excited about the pictures from this engagement session!!! And to think it almost never happened. Blame it on Hurricane Ike. But luckily we had beautiful weather this past weekend and Christy & Robert were able to make it to Fort Worth for our session. I also took Christy's bridals later that day. Can't show you those just yet but there are some amazing shots of this beautiful bride!

Baby James is 9 months old!
Can you believe it?!?! And how does a nine month old baby boy spend his days? At this session we went for the theme of “A Day in the Life of Baby James,” capturing those simple things that this family does day to day with their sweet baby . First up, a game of peek-a-boo. Back and forth and back and forth on the bed to Mom and Dad. How fun!

Playing with his cool toys…

This little dude is so fast at the crawling! At our six month session we were celebrating how good he was a sitting up. At our next session I'm sure we'll be smiling at his walking skills. I bet those are coming soon!
And then we took a little cheerios break. Who doesn’t love cheerios! (My favorite picture from this session! The natural light in their kitchen is awesome!)

And of course bath time is always fun with all those bubbles!

James will be one year old at our next session! I’ll be there with my camera for James’ 1st birthday party. I’m looking forward to it! Thank you Lauren & Daniel! I've really enjoyed all our photo sessions this past year. Your family is so sweet.

My hubby and I spent last weekend in New Orleans. Hurricane Gus had been teasing the Crescent City all week so we went back and forth on whether to actually make the trip. At the last minute we decided to go for it. I'm so glad we did. We had a marvelous time. It was definitely a little quieter than normal but we still had a fun time anyway. The food was fantastic as always, we were able to get a run in on one of the days in the Garden District, and we got to spend an entire day with one of our dearest friends from law school, Suzanne. I've decided that on my next trip to the Big Easy that I really hope to do a photo session with a New Orleans couple! There are just so many incredible places for pictures in that town -- from the French Quarter to the Garden District to the area by Tulane. I kept coming back to that idea the entire trip. We could get the most amazing pictures in that city! Know anyone in New Orleans who wants a photo shoot? Send them my way!
