New Referral Program - Free Prints!!!

My clients are the BEST! See this beautiful family in the post below? That cute Momma is friends with another one of my clients who forwarded her my website. And then she booked a session and we got some fun shots of her family. Looking back over the past year I've had this happen alot! So to reward these super fantastic clients of mine who keep getting me new business I've got a new referral program I'm starting. I'm going to give away two free 5x7 prints anytime a client refers me to a friend. These two prints can be from a past or future session. And I will even make it retroactive for the past year! So if you have referred clients to me this past year (hmm...Loralee, Leslie G., Jane, Meredith, Leslie H., Lauren, Stacy, Aileen) then you've got two free prints coming your way. (Shoot me an email nell@cowtowncameragirl.com and we'll get them ordered.) And for all my clients and friends who continue to spread the word about me -- THANK YOU!!! Keep telling your friends and I'll give you free prints!

Mothers Day -1973
Sharing my all-time favorite photo of my own mother for Mother's Day today. This photo was taken a few years before I was even born. That's my mom and my older sister & brother outside of their home in Dallas. Doesn't it give the sweetest feeling? There are so many things I love about this shot--how my brother is hugging her legs so tightly; how my mother is looking down at him while holding my sister in her arms; and of course those super sassy bellbottom pants! Two more details that I will probably be the only one to ever catch. First, there's some sort of 1970's bouncy chair on the porch (neat to know that my parents had one of those--we LOVED our bouncy chair with Ezra this past year). Second, the plaid couch that you can see in the window. That couch has been in our family for decades! My cousin now has it in Alabama. It's traveled many, many places and has been through many facelifts. I think that's one of the reasons I like photographs so much. So many things you can see, remember, and enjoy in one small photo. Happy Mother's Day Mom!

Aileen & Max

Isn’t it wonderful to have good friends! The kind of friends that no matter how much time has passed, you can pick up on a conversation just like you left it yesterday. Friends that just crack you up! (I could share so many stories on this one--but I won’t!) That’s how my friend Aileen is. We’ve been friends since our first year at Baylor when we lived across the hall from each other in the dorm. Over the years, our lives have taken us in different directions, but every once in a while things work out, and we actually get to see each other and catch up. So I was super excited to recently meet up with her to take pictures of her little man, Max. He is about to turn two and become a big brother in a few months, so a photo session was a great idea! And I’m so excited for her new baby to arrive!

I love this next series of shots. The first one with Max looking over the railing at the fish down below, next where he is looking back at his Mommy, and last where they are peaking over the edge together. So sweet!

Again, such a curious little guy! Completely fascinated in the little fishies in the water....

May is for Moms!

Mother's Day is next Sunday so that got me thinking of all the amazing moms I've had the priviledge of shooting this past year. Each and every time I meet a new mom I feel a connection to them and understand that their job is one of the hardest and most rewarding jobs in the world. That got me thinking that I need to do something to honor these wonderful women. So that's what I'm going to do here on my blog this month-- celebrate moms!

And to kick off this celebration I've got a new package this month I'm calling Mommy & Me. It's just what it sounds like -- a photo session with moms and their children. Fun! The cost of this package is $75. That's $25 off my regular session fee. Plus I'll throw in two free 5x7 prints of your favorite shots.

Are you looking for an idea to give a super spectalar mom for Mother's Day? Book her a Mommy & Me package! She will love it! (Trust me, moms like to be on the other side of the lens every once in a while.)

Interested? Send me an email at nell@cowtowncameragirl.com And for all the moms that are reading this blog....forward on this link to your hubby! Even the best of husband's need some hints sometimes! :0)

For now though....a few shots for one of my favorite moms -- my sister Francie! We spent a very chilly Saturday morning taking shots out at the park. I LOVE how this first one turned out! All three of them look beautiful and the way the sun is shining down makes it look so darn cool!

Thank you Francie, Addison, and Preston for a fun Saturday morning!
